About the Business
Resource Youth Film was founded in 2013 by a group of young people with a passion for film. The charity allows young people to learn and experience first-hand the art of film-making. Teaching them how to use a camera, sound and lighting techniques, interviewing skills, directing and creating scripts, we help young people make their own films on social issues they feel passionately about. We work with young people from all social backgrounds including hard to reach young people and those at risk of exclusion.
We were founded, as a voluntary group by Dominique Unsworth and evolved from the Youth Film Group and previously SL1DE voluntary group.
Our charity work is supported by a range of partners including Pinewood Studios, BFI and Resource Productions.
